Each to their own but there are plenty of sources for those kinds of stories repeated from the rest of the media - I'm more interested in news and journalism that doesn't get wide coverage. The kind of thing that we have sadly missed in recent years.
Hi Brian, that's a shame. Our Brum in Briefs are Tuesday to Friday and these are just sharing a round up of news - ie the links here. Our original, longer form journalism comes out on a Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
But I would add that there is original reporting even in the Brum in Briefs. For example, the first item in this issue is information which came to me last night and hadn't been printed anywhere else.
In my opinion, these "Brum In Brief" articles are a nice concise summary of stories that are actually relevant to Birmingham. It makes a change from endless articles about "Met Office warnings" about weather elsewhere in the country, or Martin Lewis's latest Twitter posts!

So far I’m rather disappointed with the Dispatch’s coverage which seems to be mainly re-publishing stories rather than independent journalism.
