Was a student nurse at time of bombings and friends went into Tavern to help, exhusband one of first on scene also. I would normally have been in Tavern that night but we were paid two days earlier so went on Tuesday
Living in Birmingham very aware of the aftermath to the attack, friends and colleagues who were Irish had a rough time
The atrocity was appalling but so was the treatment of the six and that was by people who should have behaved so much better
On both sides it was the worst time in our city’s history- should never be forgotten
